Introducing Dr. Shafqat, a compassionate and dedicated physician specializing in internal medicine, hematology, and oncology, proudly serving the community at SIH with expertise and empathy.

Originally from Pakistan, Dr. Shafqat's journey led him to the United States, where he pursued his medical training in internal medicine, followed by a fellowship in hematology and oncology. His wife and two children provide unwavering support, anchoring him to Southern Illinois, which he proudly calls home.

Patients visiting Dr. Shafqat can expect a collaborative and patient-centered approach to care. Believing in the importance of patient education, he ensures that individuals fully understand their diagnosis and all available treatment options. Together, they navigate their healthcare journey, making informed decisions that align with each patient's unique needs and aspirations.
