Biography
Dr. Metayer was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, but grew up in Boston and Northern Florida. He completed his education at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami and his residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Metayer has an interest in a wide range of podiatric medicine and surgeries but notes a particular interest in disciplines such as diabetic limb salvage, foot and ankle fractures, trauma, and various outpatient procedures, including bunion removal.
Dr. Metayer has also volunteered his time to non- profit organizations with a focus on providing podiatric care to underserved, uninsured populations. He is a member of both the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Podiatric Medical Association. Fluent in English, French, and Haitian Creole – and proficient in Spanish - he strives to see all of his patients “leave happier than they came in,” which is a driving force of his professional practice.
