Our Rehabilitation Philosophy

As those working in the field of rehabilitation know, regaining physical function following a stroke, an accident or surgery can be stressful and tedious for both the patient and their family. Being able to receive expert rehabilitative care close to home is essential to achieving the best results for our patients.

In addition to providing therapy to medical/surgical patients at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Herrin Hospital and St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, Herrin Hospital supports the only inpatient rehabilitation unit south of Interstate 64 in Illinois. For patient convenience, outpatient therapy services are available in Carbondale, Herrin, Murphysboro and Anna. Compassion and personal care are hallmarks of the services we provide. Striving to provide one-on-one care, we work with the patient and their family to achieve personal goals.
