Patient Care Fund

Upon discharge from an SIH hospital, or after receiving treatment at select SIH outpatient clinics, the Patient Care Fund can be accessed when an emergency arises. This fund is accessible through an SIH case worker on the day of discharge or service. There are SIH patients in situations that don’t afford them the luxury of caring for themselves immediately after treatment at our medical facilities. We are able to help a patient in need with items such as:

• Transportation home
• Prescriptions given at time of discharge or service
• Emergency lodging
• Clothing
• Meals
